The University of the Sacred Heart and the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities signed a collaboration agreement for students to support the Endowment’s efforts while acquiring professional, social and community experience.
This agreement provides the opportunity for students of the Ferré Rangel Communication School to develop content for social networks and to develop public relations campaigns for the Endowment. In addition, through the Community Linkage and Volunteer Development Center, they will be able to create a database to identify cultural products and establish a robust volunteer program.
The president of the USC, Gilberto J. Marxuach Torrós, was very satisfied with this achievement. “We are now at an important juncture of reconfiguring the university’s academic project to make it much more responsive to the needs of students in these times. Within the whole project, the theme of the humanities is central because for Sagrado, everything is humanities, “said Marxuach Torrós.
Dr. César A. Rey Hernández, Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities stated that “students will have the opportunity to discover and learn about the cultural treasures that exist in the Endowment and the social work that, as a part of the third sector, the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities promotes. ”
The signing of this agreement strengthens the close collaboration of the FPH with the universities of the country and especially with the talent and resources of the University of the Sacred Heart.
