The Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities is interested in receiving proposals from non-profit organizations for projects and activities that develop and document the topic:
A look at Puerto Rico today after the passage of Hurricane María
The reflection can be from a historical perspective, identity as a people, sociological-anthropological, economics, migration, literature or any other humanistic discipline.
Will be considered proposals that, among other things,:
• Promote and document the oral history of the communities impacted by the Hurricane
• Document in an audiovisual format the impact of the Hurricane in Puerto Rico
• Encourage creative activities (such as development of poems, short stories, etc.) about the Hurricane
• Discuss the phenomenon of Puerto Rican migration
• Photographic essays
Projects of documentaries, conferences, panels, publications and any other innovative creative activity will be sponsored. The sponsored projects must be of one year duration as of April 1, 2018.
The deadline to submit the proposal is Friday, January 12, 2018 and a possible meeting with the Executive Director will be scheduled to discuss the draft of the proposal. Proposals may be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered to the headquarters of the Endowment.
