As part of our goal of disseminating and preserving the humanities, the Endowment continues its efforts to collaborate with the universities of the Island. On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, Dr. César Rey and Dr. Ignacio Olazagasti presented to the entire Puerto Rico and Caribbean Archeology Masters group of the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, a valuable humanistic material, product of the projects sponsored by the Endowment. The specialized academic group consisted of 60 members, including students and faculty.
Dr. Rey emphasized the affinity between the Endowment and the Center for a long time, since its founders, Dr. Arturo Morales Carrión and Dr. Ricardo Alegría, were close collaborators in the broad humanistic sector. The material delivered was on the subjects of archeology and popular arts, including: 2 catalogs of Popular Arts in the Americas of the Museum of the Americas, Catalog of the Tibes indigenous Ceremonial Center of the Autonomous Municipality of Ponce, Big questions of Caribbean archeology of the Museum and Center of humanistic studies Josefina Camacho de la Nuez, and a CD of archeology.
